The Pineapple Fountain

The Pineapple symbolizes hospitality and welcome. Often intangible aspects of regions and cities that are instantly palpable.

The Charleston Pineapple Fountain was one of the first spots that I visited when I was in Charleston.

While I have traveled a great deal in the United States, a majority of my weeks, weekends, work and vacation have revolved around the north east and mid Atlantic.  It is where all of my nastalgic memories are and what my heart yearns for when I close my eyes. However, there is something SO appealing about the southern air and manners.

My go-to blogger for all things Southern Charm is Monica Lavin at the Lavin Label. I've been following her as soon as I saw one of her cocktail mixing videos. She exudes everything appealing about the south and she makes it all look so effortlessly cool (when you know it's actually probably 1000 degrees-- but she's not even breaking a sweat!)

She is always giving tips on decorating and travel in the southern sphere, and she so graciously let me call her up and get some insight on the cutest spots in the south.

Many Thanks to Monica for the Southern Tips on where to find beauty.
