The American Road Trip
T.A. Moulton Barn
Painted in response to Georgia O’Keefe’s “Black Mesa Landscape, New Mexico.” and to Nathaniel Hawthorn’s perceptiveness; “Happiness is a Butterly which, when pursued, is alway beyond our grasp, but which is you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.”
This painting is a stop along the American Road Trip Series, completely depicted in the 2019 Desk Calendar. The collection was developed in response to several American authors and artists who influenced me through composition, attitude, texture, color, emotion, and spirit of the artwork. The series was in an attempt to capture the timeless American Spirit and focus on the good, pure, nostalgia, purity, and joy of American life.
This is an original watercolor painting on arches watercolor paper measuring 8” x 8 and is signed by the artist.
A limited quantity of prints are also available of this print measuring 8” x 8.”
