The Georgian Pool House

"The children have been playing out by the pool house all day with their boats.  They are pretending it's a great ocean-- like it Rembrandt's "Sea of Galilee," I suppose.  They've just learned about it somewhere. That was one of the paintings stolen from the Gardner Museum a few years ago.  Did you hear they think they've got a lead on that case? After all these years, I know! It's so silly, it seems Hanley Bancroft was caught up in suspicion somehow.  Fellows and I had Hanley and his wife over at some dinner party, and I asked him if he'd stolen all that art.  He said that he had.  And all five Degas are in a home he has under a different name in Italy somewhere.  Isn't that a funny thing to say?  I think he was being entirely sincere."

The Georgian Pool house is a watercolor and pen composition on arche's watercolor paper, custom framed by Simply Framed.  Measuring 13" x 15," framed.
