It’s really been the WELLSPRING of my artwork and all the collections🦊 The idea of what it means to “come home” has captured my heart and my paint brushes. Homesick is a term we often use, but what does it really mean? We can feel homesick for places we have never been by reading poetry or gazing at a painting. Or we can be standing in a place we’ve always lived and feel out of place. The concept touches on a deeper spiritual reality that we belong in a particular place. This collection isn’t about a physical homeland, but a spiritual one. The rolling hills in #Virginia are my life’s analogy- it is not the real heaven but it is an echo of it. A Heavenly home that we were created for— a desire which is knit into our very soul. On earth we build homes for our physical bodies- but our souls were built for Heaven." -Lydia
