ABOUT THE COLLECTION

Re-released for the Paris Olympics! The Paris Collection draws on personal vivid visual memories that I know I share with many people who have visited this beautiful city and country. A magical place I’ve fallen in love with over and over again.

My first trip to Paris was a graduation present from my parents. It’s one of my favorite presents ever by far. I still remember the beautiful wallpaper in our hotel – the way they kind of squeeze everything in the room was so cozy. And the breakfasts!

My first trip to France was when I was fourteen, my cousin took me to a French chateau wedding as her plus one (everyone stop and realize how generous that sounds. Who wants their 14 year old cousin as their plus one?) I remember as we flew out of Charles de Gaulle and back to Washington DC – we leaned close together at the airplane window and she said,  “There’s Paris! The Eiffel Tower! Sacre Coeur!”

Paris is the city I spent my whole life missing and longing for without knowing it. Now it’s the setting of my most favorite memories. It's also a place that was given to me in a sense, by the most generous people I know. I'm forever grateful for Paris.

PRINTING PROCESS:

Each original painting is digitally scanned and adjusted so that the print mimics the beautiful color of the original richly saturated artwork. Once the color is perfected, we send to our professional art printers in Philadelphia who have assisted the LME team in selecting premium hahnemühle paper to ensure your print is virtually indistinguishable from its original.

And not to put too fine a point on this-- they are really good prints. Sometimes even Lydia has to double take which is a print and which is an original.

Please note all prints are unframed.

Prints

Lydia works closely with her fine art printer to develop the best representation of her artwork on paper. All of her original artwork is scanned at a very high resolution and sent to the professionals in Philadelphia for printing on a heavy-weight cotton paper. Once ready, the prints are shipped to Lydia’s Studio for inspection, her signature, and a certificate of authenticity before being carefully packed and shipped directly to you or your framer.
